Eric Sorensen
Like many of us, Eric liked to swim, bike and run in the summers as a kid. He just never stopped. In high school he was an All-County swimmer and All-State cross country and track runner in Michigan. He then ran cross country and track at the University of Virginia, earning All-ACC honors in the 10,000 meters on the track. After years of 90+ mile running weeks, he went back to swimming for cross training and naturally found triathlon shortly thereafter. In the 15+ years of racing since then, Eric has raced the Ironman and XTERRA World Championships twice each, the ITU short course World Championship five times, and has been named a USA Triathlon All-America twelve times. He was the overall champion of the Columbia Triathlon in 2000 and still holds the Reston Triathlon course record.
While his personal accomplishments were nice, he still wanted to do more the sport. In 1999, Eric turned his passion into he profession when he left his desk job to become partners in a triathlon coaching business and has been a professional coach ever since. Along the way he has escorted hundreds of athletes to the achievement of their goals. From first-time triathletes to competitors at the highest level of the sport, Eric works to create a personal, trusting relationship with his clients to maximize their potential and get the most out of their training time. He holds certifications as a coach USA Triathlon and USA Cycling, and as a bike fitter from Fit Kit, F.I.S.T., and Specialized BG.
Abby Rotman
Abby Rotman grew up in the DC area and attended the Holton-Arms School. She got her B.A. in Psychology from Bucknell University and her MSW from the University of Maryland. She first discovered her interest in health and fitness when she began running competitively at Holton, and was recruited to run for a Division 1 track program. Most recently she has completed several sprint triathlons. Abby is the former track coach and tennis strength/conditioning coach at Holton. She has trained teams, groups, and individuals of all ages and fitness levels.
Abby's philosophy on fitness is that consistent effort combined with the right training program, proper nutrition and guidance, can yield dramatic results. She feels that there is more to personal training than just working out. Having a degree in Psychology and a background in counseling enables her to address the emotional and mental challenges that go hand in hand with the physical ones. She strongly believes everybody is capable of achieving their fitness goals, they simply need the right program, motivation, and encouragement.
Steve Dolge
I am an Ironman triathlete with a strong belief that, as with all things in life, variety and balance are key elements to health and happiness. I have been competing in triathlons for over a decade and have more than 35 races under my belt, including a half-dozen Half Ironman races and Ironman Lake Placid in 2007.
But swimming, biking and running are only part of my exercise regimen. I am active in Yoga, began strength-training in junior high school and maintain a love for Aikido, a Japanese martial art that means “the way of harmonizing with the universe.”
I am an ACE certified personal trainer and USA Triathlon Level 1 coach.
I believe that fitness should help you live your real life, not become it. Like you, I strive to balance training with the commitments of work and family.
Jennifer Schwartz

Jenn was motivated to train because of the void of physical development for the female athlete. She experienced the need herself through several injuries and witnessing the repercussions with her female clients of career age who have battled with old injuries. Her mission is to identify with the athlete’s beliefs, attitudes, and physical ability to improve her performance and keep her injury free. This is done through sound strength training and education.
One on one training with Jenn is fun and science based. She is able to stragize the best exercise program for anyone of any age. This can be achieved by understanding the individual’s needs, all the variables of exercise, and structure of the individual.
