Eric Sorensen
Like many of us, Eric liked to swim, bike and run in the summers as a kid. He just never stopped. In high school he was an All-County swimmer and All-State cross country and track runner in Michigan. He then ran cross country and track at the University of Virginia, earning All-ACC honors in the 10,000 meters on the track. After years of 90+ mile running weeks, he went back to swimming for cross training and naturally found triathlon shortly thereafter. In the 15+ years of racing since then, Eric has raced the Ironman and XTERRA World Championships twice each, the ITU short course World Championship five times, and has been named a USA Triathlon All-America twelve times. He was the overall champion of the Columbia Triathlon in 2000 and still holds the Reston Triathlon course record.
While his personal accomplishments were nice, he still wanted to do more the sport. In 1999, Eric turned his passion into he profession when he left his desk job to become partners in a triathlon coaching business and has been a professional coach ever since. Along the way he has escorted hundreds of athletes to the achievement of their goals. From first-time triathletes to competitors at the highest level of the sport, Eric works to create a personal, trusting relationship with his clients to maximize their potential and get the most out of their training time. He holds certifications as a coach USA Triathlon and USA Cycling, and as a bike fitter from Fit Kit, F.I.S.T., and Specialized BG.
Steve Dolge
I am an Ironman triathlete with a strong belief that, as with all things in life, variety and balance are key elements to health and happiness. I have been competing in triathlons for over a decade and have more than 35 races under my belt, including a half-dozen Half Ironman races and Ironman Lake Placid in 2007.
But swimming, biking and running are only part of my exercise regimen. I am active in Yoga, began strength-training in junior high school and maintain a love for Aikido, a Japanese martial art that means “the way of harmonizing with the universe.”
I am an ACE certified personal trainer and USA Triathlon Level 1 coach.
I believe that fitness should help you live your real life, not become it. Like you, I strive to balance training with the commitments of work and family.
